EMILY HAMILTON

REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST

I graduated from Western University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (Dean’s Honours)

I am a registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. I also hold certifications in fascial stretch therapy (FST), soft tissue release therapy (STR), neurokinetic therapy (NKT), microstretching, cupping, and kinesiology taping. My technique is individualized to each patient in order to maximize recovery and wellbeing. My approach is focused on assessing muscular imbalances and restoring neuro kinetic pathways. I use stretching, soft tissue release, and exercise to treat a wide range of issues, from acute injuries to chronic pain. I have worked with many high performance athletes and I believe strongly in the value of stretching and soft tissue therapy to prevent and recover from injuries. I also have a special interest in trauma, and understand how our psychological experiences are woven into our bodies. I work to provide release at a deeper level, healing and restoring movement to one's body. In my spare time I love to travel and spend time outdoors. I am an avid sports fan and played a lot of sports, which is what shaped me into the therapist I am today. I am also completing my 500 hour yoga teacher training. Movement has always been a huge part of my life and I love being able to share that knowledge with my patients to help them move better too.
