STRETCH THERAPY

Fascial Stretch Therapy is a unique and complementary system of table-based assisted stretching, focusing on the muscles and connective tissue that surround and encompass the joints. It was initially used by professional athletes regularly to improve performance, improve flexibility and help prevent injury.
Fascia is a network of layered connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones and joints. A joint capsule is also a connective tissue structure that surrounds joints and is part of the fascial network. When fascia and joint capsules are restricted, it can lead to conditions such as osteoarthritis, increased muscle tightness, strains, tendinopathies, headaches, scar tissue formation, decreased blood flow and lower energy levels. ​

 

ACUPUNCTURE THERAPY

Our therapist is trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Treatments can include Cupping (Stationary, Sliding), Guasha, and Tuina (TCM style massage). The unique mix of acupuncture and stretch therapy treatments can help stimulate blood flow, relax tight muscle, retrain muscle, and soothe tense nerves. This style of treatment is helpful for patients of all ages with sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, digestive complaints, stress management, and women’s health issues.

 

ATHLETIC THERAPY

Athletic Therapy is the prevention, immediate care, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries by a Certified Athletic Therapist. It involves the assessment and treatment of dysfunction caused by pain and/or injury in order to develop, maintain and maximize independence. Patients and clients range from individuals attending weekly strength and conditioning visits to individuals with physical injuries incurred from sports, recreational activities, accidents, activities of daily living and occupational stresses.

 

CHIROPRACTIC THERAPY

Chiropractic therapy is a non-invasive, hands-on discipline that focusing on the musculoskeletal system. We practice a manual approach—providing diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care for neuromuscular conditions such as back, neck, and shoulder pain. Our chiropractors develop comprehensive treatment plans, recommend therapeutic exercise in combination with other non-invasive therapies, and also provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling. OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathic Manual practitioners use their understanding of the relationship between structure and function of the body to optimize its self-regulating and self-healing capabilities. This holistic approach to patient care and healing is based on the concept that a human body is a dynamic functional unit, in which all parts are interrelated, possessing its own self-regulatory and self-healing mechanisms. A variety of therapeutic hands-on techniques to improve physiological function and/or support homeostasis altered by somatic dysfunction.

 

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapists combine their knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability. Treatments can include the: personalized exercise programs designed to improve your strength, range of motion, and function; joint mobilization to reduce pain and stiffness; modalities such as therapeutic ultrasound to relieve pain, reduce swelling, speed up the healing process, improve movement and function; injury prevention; post-operative care; work and occupational retraining/return to work planning; custom bracing; and prescription of supportive devices such as compression stockings and return to sport aides.

 

NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary healthcare system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. Naturopathic medicine involves the diagnosis and treatment of disease while emphasizing prevention and health promotion. Our naturopathic doctors utilize a wide variety of modalities to address each patient’s concern providing both hands-on treatment and thorough plans.
